OCTOBER 7 & 8/
FRIDAY & SATURDAY:

MC5,
The Wha?

GRAND OPENING!

*There are conflicting reports as to who actually opended these shows this weekend. Several members of The Wha? have said that they played the opening weekend (day not mentioned), which I believe. As far as The Chosen Few, there are reports that they had broken up by this time, although I have read an interview with Ron Asheton (CF bassist) where he says that he struck the first chord ever at the Grande!

Daniel O'Connell, bassist for The Wha?, checked in with this definitive piece of information:

"Be assured that the Chosen Few did NOT play the opening weekend of the Grande. That is an absolute fact. Russ Gibb hired our band "The Wha?" because the Chosen Few broke up shortly before the opening weekend AND they were reforming as SRC. That is the way it was, period."
