Scot Richard Case,
The
Apostles,
The Lost
Generation
"Hey Russ, do
you remember when you cut the power off to get my band the Lost Generation off
the stage? We opened up for the Scott Richard Case, we knew we were a better
band as we were all better players, (they had better equipment though) and
wanted to show it. So we played '8 Miles High' by the Byrds, and I soloed with
the drummer 20 minutes into their set. Russ is signaling for me to cut the
solo, I flipped him the 'Italian Salute', and we kept on playing. He started to
use the cut sign for us to stop. Finally, as if on cue he cut the power off.
The Grande went pitched black. He was mad! His face glowed because I think he
swallowed a black light. He said to me, like he was Ed Sullivan talking to
Jackie Mason, that we would never play again at any of his venues. Little did
he know that we played the Silverbell two weeks later."
