The first time Thomas Blood played at the Grande as a warm-up for Jeff Beck w/Rod Stewart, Russ Gibb had forgot the new band's name (Thomas Blood), but he knew that three of them had recently left the semi-successful local band - Midnight Shift - from Swingin' Time TV fame and a couple of 45"s - so he substituted that name.
