*There has been some confusion as to whether the Soft Machine actually played these dates.  Vernon Fitch, who runs the Pink Floyd archives web site, also has a site dedicated to the Soft Machine.  His chronological history of the band has them in England during this time.

Peter Murphy, drummer for the opening band Oaesse, remembers them playing these shows.  He thought it odd that the drummer (Robert Wyatt) was also the singer for the majority of songs.  Peter's brother was friends with Gary Durak, the lead guitarist for the Ourselves, and reports "
Yes, it was the Soft Machine for sure.  I remember Durak loved them and everyone else thought they were boring."

Based on these eyewitness accounts, I am listing the Soft Machine as having played these gigs.  Thanks, Peter!
