(Early
Show)
"The first
concert I ever attended was in 1967 at the Grande with The Frost, Pink Floyd
and The Who. I was only 13 and my best friend had an older brother who brought
us along. I remember the Emcee who came out with no shirt and a leather vest
with his face painted blue and giving us all the finger (both hands). My ears
were not quite ready for Pink Floyd at that time. The Who that night performed
'Magic Bus' for the first time and it was not even a record yet. It was special
because Keith Moon came out front to lead the band.." -

(Late Show)
"My third and
final show at the Grande was the Who and Pink Floyd - I remember waitng in line
and seeing the band walk in with Roger Daltrey talking to fans as they waited.
Pink Floyd was strange and a lot of distortion - The Who were fantastic and
destroyed a guitar, broke up some fake amps and knock the drums all over. I was
in awe." - Kevin |
